Bill Guggenheim on Toward The Light 29 June!

Bill Guggenheim and his former wife, Judy Guggenheim, conducted seven years of research on After-Death Communication (ADC) for their best-selling book, Hello From Heaven! During this time they interviewed 2,000 people and collected more than 3,300 first-hand accounts of ADC experiences. Bill is on the Board of Advisors of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) and is a member of the Association for Death Education and Counselling (ADEC).

He presents workshops at conferences for bereavement support groups, hospices, churches, colleges, spiritual centres, and many other types of institutions. His ADC research and book have been featured on television (including '20/20') and radio (including 'Coast To Coast AM'), and in numerous newspapers and magazines throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain.

An After-Death Communication (ADC) is a spiritual experience that occurs when someone is contacted directly and spontaneously by a deceased family member or friend. These are direct contacts because no psychics, mediums, or devices are involved. They are spontaneous experiences because our deceased loved ones choose when, where, and how to contact us.

Bill will discuss the twelve major types of ADC experiences that people most frequently report. He will also describe six categories of ADCs that prove they are objective experiences, which provide convincing modern day evidence for life after death. Bill conservatively estimates that at least 60 million people in America have had one or more ADCs—not to mention those documented throughout the rest of the world! His presentations offer comfort, hope, and healing for everyone who has ever grieved the death of a loved one.

This is a book that I've personally found so inspiring and it reveals just how easy and natural it is to have an ADC (after-death communication). A Wonderful Double Line-Up!

It was such a joy to have two guests—both friends—on Toward The Light on 22 June. I've known Martha St. Claire for a few years and we've worked side-by-side in our endeavours to bring more awareness of the NDE into the mainstream and I see how it's definitely made in impact in recent years. The passion for the work is apparent when you hear Martha speak about her NDE and the special path and calling that has ensued as a result. The heart just bursts wide open and the love is undeniable. I never fail to be moved to tears when conversing with a fellow experiencer like Martha.

Working with Don Newsom every week for over two years has been such a joy and I'm so grateful for his very kind words of acknowledgements and love on the air. I refer to him as my favourite 'octopus' as he's always so busy tirelessly keeping the BBS Radio operation running smoothly and accommodating so many hosts and programmes simultaneously. He's honoured the call of spirit—veering away from a competitive capitalistic venture to pursue something far more meaningful and centred in the heart ... and BBS Radio is the result.

A Double Line-Up for 22 June on TTL!

Martha Cassandra St. Claire, (formerly Musgrave), is an educator, intuitive counsellor, NDEr, and near-death experience speaker. She has an M.A. in Gerontology, is licensed for assisted living administration, has been trained for Unity ministry, and is a certified hospice volunteer. Martha's purpose is to bring comfort and insight to end of life and death/dying issues, particularly for the elderly, and to join in community as we divinely transform within and bring healing to the world.

She has served on the International Association for Near-Death Studies, Board of Directors, as the Friends of IANDS National Chapter Co-ordinator. Her NDE research was published in The Journal of Near-Death Studies, for IANDS, (Spring, 1997).

Apologies to Listeners...

I was having such a lovely interview and dialogue with my special guest, Cindy Miller, on Sunday, 15 June, when suddenly the lines went dead. Blip!—and it was gone. I rang BBS Radio to find out what had happened and Don informed me that the power had just gone out, due to fires raging in their region in northern California, and just a couple of days prior to that, everyone at BBS Radio had to evacuate as the fires loomed closer and closer to their facility. What a week it has been for BBS Radio!

Alas, we did manage to get close to an hour’s worth of dialogue on the air with Cindy and it was such a delightful one indeed. In fact, after we were cut off, Cindy rang me on my mobile and we continued our wonderful dialogue for probably another hour!

We both acknowledged that this untimely event was meant to be—albeit, at a most awkward time—but we were able to share a lot between us and realise just how much we’ve got in common.

Being a radio show host has granted me the richest treasure of friends that one could ever imagine ... and I cannot tell you how deeply grateful I am for this, oh BIG time!

We’ll have to have Cindy back on the show, so we can complete our dialogue for our listeners to enjoy and find enrichment. Meanwhile, please keep everyone at BBS Radio in your prayers as they’re dealing with fires and power cuts in their region. As intuitives, Cindy an I both felt that Don, et al, at BBS should leave California—that this may be a warning that that is a vulnerable and dangerous area to be situated in ... but Don is not about to leave California—according to what he told me. He thinks it’s ‘safer than other areas’. I do respect his opinion—even if I do not share it myself.

Meanwhile, I am about to move house ... and we’ll see where the wind blows me...

Cindy Miller on Toward The Light 15 June!

Cindy Miller is a writer, intuitive, coach and founder of Trinity Productions an interfaith non-profit learning centre which has grown into the leading metaphysical and holistic organisation in Connecticut.

Cindy was chosen to be a VIP reader in New York City to help promote the television show 'Psychic Detective' on Court TV. She was an invited guest psychic and participant on the Houdini panel in New York City.

She conceptualised, produced and hosted 'The Human Odyssey', a public TV talk show where she discussed metaphysical subjects with local practitioners. She has also been a Trinity programme facilitator, runs the Back To The Earth programme and is a popular teacher at local Adult Education sites.

Are You a 'Courageous Soul'?

It was such an honour having Robert Schwartz on Toward The Light on 8 June. He spoke about the changes in his own life that catapulted him into the research and writing of the book, Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth? And he provided some stunning examples of pre-birth plans of various subjects who were in sessions with different mediums—all delivering the same consistent messages to each subject.

In the book he's picked challenges that are widely experienced amongst the masses:

He's now starting another book where he's going to add more challenges such as homelessness, immigration to a foreign country and more. Courageous Souls Indeed!

For months I've been anticipating having Robert Schwartz on Toward The Light (see blog below). He is the author of the splendid book, Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?, which addresses the possibility of one's soul planning the challenges and suffering that one is faced with during one's incarnation on this plane. Here is an excerpt taken from the prologue:

On 25^th February, 1969, Christina, a twenty-year-old administrative assistant in the department of political science at Pomona College in Claremont, California, went to the department's basement mailbox to pick up her employer's mail. As she touched a package in the mailbox a bomb detonated, hurling her across the room. Dust and soot filled the air; six-foot splinters of wood shot like arrows into the cement wall behind her.
